Most outsourcing providers don't make it easy to talk to someone, much less the same person every time. Normally, you submit a ticket, and it gets routed to the next available representative.

But that's not what Cyndi Lamb, payroll systems delivery manager for Service Corporation International (SCI), has experienced with OneSource Virtual (OSV). Across her career, including multiple employers, she's worked with the same OSV contact. While this level of continuity is rare, it has also led to a deeper and more collaborative relationship.

“She's so responsive, so easy to connect with,” Cyndi says about her OSV contact. Even though OSV has a ticketing system, the team encourages direct outreach.

“Everyone on the team, anytime we have an issue, they're like, ‘Hey, just give me a call. We're happy to help you,’” Cyndi says. “I would much rather be able to pick up the phone and someone answer me.”

Trust that goes beyond transactions

That accessibility has created something deeper. Over time, their professional relationship has become personal. When her OSV contact went on maternity leave, Cyndi texted congratulations about the baby. “We've basically become friends,” she says.

“That friendly relationship puts faith and trust in the person I'm working with,” Cyndi adds.

That trust has proven valuable. Cyndi is looking to expand SCI's services with OSV.
