How QAD Found a Partner in OneSource Virtual, Not Just a Vendor
Not all service relationships are created equal. Most service organizations are order takers. You tell them what you need, and they do it. There’s no strategic collaboration, and they don’t offer input on your business challenges.
For Levett Washington, VP of People Services and Total Rewards at QAD, that transactional approach wasn't enough.
"Having spent 25 years in consulting, I understand the value of being a partner at the table discussing business challenges as opposed to being an order taker," Levett explains.
What true partnership looks like
When QAD began evaluating Workday vendors, he knew exactly what he was looking for.
"I needed a partnership, not a vendor relationship," he says. "Somebody to sit at the table as a partner with me."
OneSource Virtual (OSV) surpassed that standard. From the beginning, OSV participated in strategic discussions about QAD's business challenges, helping identify gaps in their Workday implementation and offering advice on the timing for rolling out features.
"OSV was able to sit down at the table as a partner in all phases of the Workday support," Levett says. "We were able to talk about where we're going, where some of the gaps were, some of the challenges with Workday, and how maybe we want to wait on rolling out X, Y, and Z until it gets a little bit stronger."
That partnership has proven invaluable for him.
